Algebra Difficulty 1.2 Junior Find the answer Canada

Cynthia graphs a sequence of points. The first point has
coordinates (3,0)(-3,0), the second
point has coordinates (2,2)(-2,2), and
the third point has coordinates (1,4)(-1,4). Each point after the first is 1
unit to the right and 2 units above the previous point. What is the
fourth point that Cynthia graphs?

Pick one

Solution

The fourth point is 11 unit
to the right of (1,4)(-1,4) and so its
xx-coordinate is 11 unit greater than 1-1, which is 1+1=0-1+1=0.

The fourth point is 2 units above (1,4)(-1,4) and so its yy-coordinate is 22 units greater than 44, which is 4+2=64+2=6.

The fourth point that Cynthia graphs is (0,6)(0,6).
