Using the definition of the operation, g6=45g \nabla 6 = 45 gives g262=45g^2 - 6^2 = 45.

Thus, g2=45+36=81g^2 = 45 + 36 = 81.

Since g>0g>0, then g=81=9g = \sqrt{81}=9.
