Algebra Difficulty 1.2 Junior Find the answer Canada

Shuxin begins with 1010 red
candies, 77 yellow candies, and
33 blue candies. After eating some
of the candies, there are equal numbers of red, yellow, and blue candies
remaining. What is the smallest possible number of candies that Shuxin
ate?

Pick one

Solution

Since PQR\angle PQR is a
straight angle, its measure is 180°180\degree. Thus, the angles with
measures 146°146\degree and x°x\degree add to 180°180\degree, and so the value of xx is 180146=34180-146=34.
