ADAD and BCBC are both perpendicular to ABAB, and CDCD is perpendicular to ACAC. If AB=4AB = 4 and BC=3BC = 3, find CDCD.

By Pythagoras in ABC\triangle ABC, AC=5AC = 5. But CAD=90BAC=ACB\angle CAD = 90^{\circ} - \angle BAC = \angle ACB, so right triangles CADCAD and BCABCA are similar, and CDAC=BACB=43CD=203\frac{CD}{AC} = \frac{BA}{CB} = \frac{4}{3} \Rightarrow CD = \frac{20}{3}.
