Algebra Difficulty 1.6 Junior Find the answer

Calculate the value of the expression (8×6)(4÷2)(8 \times 6)-(4 \div 2).

A number or a short expression. Spacing and $ signs are ignored.

Solution

We evaluate the expression by first evaluating the expressions in brackets: (8×6)(4÷2)=482=46(8 \times 6)-(4 \div 2)=48-2=46.
