Algebra Difficulty 2.2 Junior Find the answer

Given that the area of a rectangle is 192 and its length is 24, what is the perimeter of the rectangle?

A number or a short expression. Fractions can be typed as 3/2, and spacing doesn't matter.

Solution

Since the area of the rectangle is 192 and its length is 24, then its width is 192÷24=8192 \div 24=8. Therefore, its perimeter is 2×24+2×8=642 \times 24 + 2 \times 8 = 64.
