Solution
Solution 1: Since 2x+6=16, then 22x+6=216 and so x+3=8. Since x+3=8, then x+4=(x+3)+1=8+1=9. Solution 2: Since 2x+6=16, then 2x=16−6=10. Since 2x=10, then 22x=210 and so x=5. Since x=5, then x+4=5+4=9.
