Algebra Difficulty 1.5 Junior Find the answer

If 8+6=n+8 8 + 6 = n + 8 , what is the value of n n ?

A number or a short expression. Fractions can be typed as 3/2, and spacing doesn't matter.

Solution

Since 8+6=n+8 8+6=n+8 , then subtracting 8 from both sides, we obtain 6=n 6=n and so n n equals 6.
