Algebra Difficulty 1.9 Junior Find the answer
If x=3, y=2x, and z=3y, what is the value of z?
A number or a short expression. Fractions can be typed as 3/2, and spacing doesn't matter.
Solution
Since x=3 and y=2x, then y=2⋅3=6. Since y=6 and z=3y, then z=3⋅6=18.
