Algebra Difficulty 1.9 Junior Find the answer

If x=3x = -3, what is the value of (x3)2(x-3)^{2}?

A number or a short expression. Spacing and $ signs are ignored.

Solution

Evaluating, (x3)2=(33)2=(6)2=36(x-3)^{2}=(-3-3)^{2}=(-6)^{2}=36.
