The navigation app on my smartphone gives distances in both miles and kilometres. When planning a journey, I notice the distance in miles, $m$ , and the distance in kilometres, $k$ , are such that $m = k - 438$ . How long does my planned journey in miles work out to be if you use the approximation 1 mile = 1.6 kilometres?
