Number theory Difficulty 2.0 Junior Prove it United Kingdom

(a) Find all positive integers aa and bb for which a2−b2=18a^2 - b^2 = 18.

(b) The diagram shows a sequence of points P0,P1,P2,P3,P4,…P_0, P_1, P_2, P_3, P_4, \ldots, which spirals out around the point OO. For any point PP in the sequence, the line segment joining PP to the next point is perpendicular to OPOP and has length 33. The distance from P0P_0 to OO is 2929. What is the next value of nn for which the distance from PnP_n to OO is an integer?
