Geometry Difficulty 2.0 Junior Find the answer United Kingdom

The diagram shows a circle with radius 22 and a square with sides of length 22. The centre of the circle lies on the perpendicular bisector of a side of the square, at a distance xx from the side, as shown. The shaded region − inside the square but outside the circle − has area 22. What is the value of xx?

(A) π3+32−1\dfrac{\pi}{3} + \dfrac{\sqrt{3}}{2} - 1 (B) π3+34−1\dfrac{\pi}{3} + \dfrac{\sqrt{3}}{4} - 1 (C) π3+12\dfrac{\pi}{3} + \dfrac{1}{2} (D) π3+1\dfrac{\pi}{3} + 1 (E) π3\dfrac{\pi}{3}
