Official solution

A total of 140140 of the
students surveyed don’t like puzzles. Since 9292 of these students were in Grade 8,
then 14092=48140-92=48 Grade 9 students
don’t like puzzles. Since 6868 Grade
9 students do like puzzles and 4848
do not, then the number of Grade 9 students surveyed was 68+48=11668+48=116.
