Official solution

Since JFGJFG is a straight line, then HFG=180HFJ=180110=70\angle HFG = 180^\circ - \angle HFJ = 180^\circ - 110^\circ = 70^\circ.

Since FGH\triangle FGH is isosceles with HF=HGHF = HG, then HGF=HFG=70\angle HGF = \angle HFG = 70^\circ.

Since the sum of the angles in FGH\triangle FGH is 180180^\circ, then 70+70+x=18070^\circ + 70^\circ + x^\circ = 180^\circ, and so 140+x=180140+x = 180 or x=40x=40.
