Pick one

Solution

Since PQR\angle PQR is a straight angle, its measure is 180°180\degree. Thus, the angles with measures 40°40\degree and x°x\degree have a sum of 180°180\degree, or 40+x=18040+x=180 and so x=18040=140x=180-40=140.
