Combinatorics Difficulty 8.3 Shortlist Prove it Hong Kong

Let nn and kk be two integers with n>k1n > k \ge 1. There are 2n+12n+1 students standing in a circle. Each student SS has 2k2k neighbours—namely, the kk students closest to SS on the right, and the kk students closest to SS on the left.
Suppose that n+1n+1 of the students are girls, and the other nn are boys. Prove that there is a girl with at least kk girls among her neighbours.
