Let NN be the product of all the positive integer divisors of 4242. What is the units digit of NN?

Answer (D): The prime factorization of 4242 is 2372 \cdot 3 \cdot 7. A divisor of 4242 is determined by choosing whether or not to include each prime as a factor of the divisor, so there are 23=82^3 = 8 divisors. Furthermore, the divisors can be formed into 44 pairs each of whose product is 4242: 1421 \cdot 42, 2212 \cdot 21, 3143 \cdot 14, and 676 \cdot 7. Therefore N=424N = 42^4. The value of the requested units digit of NN is the same as the units digit of 242^4, which is 66.
