Algebra Difficulty 2.1 Junior Find the answer
If x=3, what is the value of −(5x−6x)?
A number or a short expression. Fractions can be typed as 3/2, and spacing doesn't matter.
Solution
When x=3, we have −(5x−6x)=−(−x)=x=3. Alternatively, when x=3, we have −(5x−6x)=−(15−18)=−(−3)=3.
