Algebra Difficulty 1.9 Junior Find the answer

Evaluate the expression 2x2+3x22x^{2}+3x^{2} when x=2x=2.

A number or a short expression. Spacing and $ signs are ignored.

Solution

When x=2x=2, we obtain 2x2+3x2=5x2=522=54=202x^{2}+3x^{2}=5x^{2}=5 \cdot 2^{2}=5 \cdot 4=20.
