If the positive two-digit integer nn has tens digit xx and units digit yy, then n=10x+yn=10x+y and s=x+ys=x+y. Then ns=(10x+y)(x+y)=9xn-s=(10x+y)-(x+y)=9x, and so nsn-s is a multiple of 99 (since xx is a positive integer). Of the answers
given, the only multiple of 99 is
5454.

(If for example n=62n=62, then ns=62(6+2)=54n-s=62-(6+2)=54.)
