Algebra Difficulty 1.2 Junior Find the answer Canada

When two numbers are added, the result is 26-26. If one of the numbers is 11, what is the other number?

Pick one

Solution

When 37-37 and 11 are added, the result is 37+11=26-37+11=-26. The correct answer is (A).

Alternately, the result can be found by subtracting, 2611=37-26-11=-37.
