Algebra Difficulty 1.7 Junior Find the answer

If (2)(3)(4)=6x(2)(3)(4) = 6x, what is the value of xx?

A number or a short expression. Spacing and $ signs are ignored.

Solution

Since (2)(3)(4)=6x(2)(3)(4) = 6x, then 6(4)=6x6(4) = 6x. Dividing both sides by 6, we obtain x=4x = 4.
