Algebra Difficulty 1.8 Junior Find the answer
If 2×2×3×3×5×6=5×6×n×n, what is a possible value of n?
A number or a short expression. Spacing and $ signs are ignored.
Solution
We rewrite the left side of the given equation as 5×6×(2×3)×(2×3). Since 5×6×(2×3)×(2×3)=5×6×n×n, then a possible value of n is 2×3 or 6.
