The product (113)(114)(115) \left(1-\frac{1}{3}\right)\left(1-\frac{1}{4}\right)\left(1-\frac{1}{5}\right) is equal to what?

Solution

Simplifying, (113)(114)(115)=(23)(34)(45) \left(1-\frac{1}{3}\right)\left(1-\frac{1}{4}\right)\left(1-\frac{1}{5}\right)=\left(\frac{2}{3}\right)\left(\frac{3}{4}\right)\left(\frac{4}{5}\right) . We can simplify further by dividing equal numerators and denominators to obtain a final value of 25 \frac{2}{5} .
