Algebra Difficulty 2.0 Junior Find the answer

Calculate the value of the expression (2×13)×(3×12)\left(2 \times \frac{1}{3}\right) \times \left(3 \times \frac{1}{2}\right).

A number or a short expression. Fractions can be typed as 3/2, and spacing doesn't matter.

Solution

Re-arranging the order of the numbers being multiplied, (2×13)×(3×12)=2×12×3×13=(2×12)×(3×13)=1×1=1\left(2 \times \frac{1}{3}\right) \times \left(3 \times \frac{1}{2}\right) = 2 \times \frac{1}{2} \times 3 \times \frac{1}{3} = \left(2 \times \frac{1}{2}\right) \times \left(3 \times \frac{1}{3}\right) = 1 \times 1 = 1.
