Algebra Difficulty 1.3 Junior Find the answer Canada

Bailey scores on six of her eight shots. The percentage of shots that she does not score on is

Pick one

Solution

Since Bailey scores on 6 of her 8 shots, then she misses on 86=28-6=2 shots.
If she misses on 28=14\frac{2}{8}=\frac{1}{4} of her shots, then the percentage of shots that she does not score is 14×100%=25%\frac{1}{4}\times 100\%=25\%.
